Have you ever felt “all over the map” when trying to learn Spanish?
.
How would you feel if you could speak Conversational Spanish in real life?
Imagine if getting started and staying focused got easier, and you knew what to study and in what order.
Imagine how confident you would feel if you knew how to avoid getting “brain freeze” and keep conversations flowing.
Imagine how many doors would open if you could speak conversational Spanish in everyday life.
Now, if you think:
“I am never going to learn this language, there are so many words.”
“When it comes to talking to someone, I freeze up and can’t get the words out, which is frustrating for the most basic greetings/questions.”
“I don’t have time to go to school and don’t know where or what to study.”
Well, It doesn’t have to be like that!
Why do so many students struggle to speak basic Spanish in real life even after taking Spanish classes in high school or using language apps for months?
Because they try to learn basic Spanish the wrong way.
They focus on very formal Spanish compared to everyday Spanish, and they focus on passing a test instead of starting simple and improving gradually.
Over time, I have received several inspiring emails from many students. Here are a few of the stories that moved me the most:
“I work in an area that has a lot of Hispanic folks that need help. It would just be nice to be able to communicate with them.”
“I work in a hospital and there are Spanish speaking patients and relatives that I wish I could help more instead of saying “Lo siento, no hablo espanol.”
“Going Peru to help a church. I will be traveling there for five years. I’m retired and I want to help others.”
“I want to help my children learn Spanish and inspire them. I would also like to be able to socialize and interact in the office in a casual way. I would like to be able to interact with people.”
“I’d like to be able to greet, ask how the students are doing, what can I help them with, tell them where different places on campus are, library hours/location, answer basic research questions.”
“I would love to communicate with non-english speaking migrants in order to help them assimilate and just find their way to important places. Also, if I am in the grocery store I could help them with finding items and explaining prices. I know most items are labeled in Spanish, but where are they in the giant stores?”
Stories like these inspired me to create the learning materials I wish I had when I started learning foreign languages.
So, I decided to create something to empower students who want to help and connect with people around them at work and in their local communities (and also while traveling!)
How will things be different in 6 months?
At this point, you‘ve probably tried to learn Spanish using different methods and made some progress.
How do you feel about your progress so far? Are you moving as fast as you’d like?
If the answer is yes, I encourage you to close this page and keep doing what you’ve been doing. I’m happy for you.
If the answer is no, maybe you are ready to try something different that could make things easier in the future.
What if you could focus on what’s truly useful in real life?
So you could learn simple tools to express yourself in Spanish from day 1 without having to learn lots of confusing conjugations,
And then, when you are ready, learn the most common conjugations following a clear roadmap for the most common verbs,
So you can get started and stay focused, practice 15 minutes per day and know where to start and what to study.
That would make things easier, wouldn’t it?
Well, now YOU CAN TRY IT!
I’ve created practice materials for beginners who want to combine phrases in easy, quick conversations in real-world scenarios.
Whether you started watching telenovelas a few weeks ago or you took high school Spanish classes years ago, this is your time to finally speak conversational Spanish gradually, at your own pace.
Even if you struggle to set time aside to focus on your learning
Even if when someone speaks to you, and you can’t understand, all you studied goes out the window
Even if you struggle to speak confidently because vocabulary and verb tenses make you want to go for a beer before noon.
This course has been designed to help you do that (speak conversational Spanish with confidence, not go for a beer. Sorry!)
I’ve created the learning materials I wish I had when I started learning foreign languages so you don’t have to go through the same struggles.
Through my personal observations and experience as a language learner and language tutor on 3 continents (along with lots of research and testing)
I’ve developed a system to help students improve their Spanish speaking skills gradually by following a natural progression using the 5-Step Conversational Spanish Roadmap and digital technology to make things easier for you.

“Why can’t I just keep doing what I’ve been doing and learn on my own?”
Doing nothing different is always the most straightforward option, but it comes at a high cost. It usually costs A LOT of time.
If you do the same things you’ve been doing so far, how will your conversational Spanish skills be in 6 months or a year?
How many more years are you willing to invest in doing the same things that haven’t worked well so far?
How many more doors will remain closed at work for not speaking Spanish?
How many more opportunities to help those around you will slip by?
In other words, doing nothing is an excellent option if you want things to remain the same way they’ve been so far.
Take a moment to think really hard about how much every week you don’t take action is costing you.
If you want things to stay the same. Be my guest; you have a right to do so.
